Practical guide

Plan a visit that stands on its own

A casino may be part of a city’s architecture or entertainment history. Essential travel spending must never depend on a possible win.

Choose the city first

Build the itinerary around museums, neighbourhoods, food, landscapes and performances. Check whether historic buildings offer tours or events without any requirement to gamble.

Check current conditions

Admission age, identity checks, dress rules, opening times, taxes and permitted games vary by country and venue. Confirm the details with the venue and competent authority before booking.

Protect the travel budget

Pay for transport and accommodation first. If you choose to gamble, set a separate amount you can afford to lose and a departure time. Avoid repeated withdrawals or borrowing to recover losses.

What visuals and records cannot guarantee

Visuals provide editorial context rather than evidence of a venue’s current condition. They do not guarantee a real casino view, opening or accessible areas. An image without established provenance is not location evidence.

Before booking, confirm opening, return transport and admission for the area you intend to visit. Country guides distinguish tourism from permission to gamble remotely.
