Cannes: choose an island and plan the return
A Lérins Islands day trip starts with choosing Sainte-Marguerite or Saint-Honorat and checking landing points and return services. Plan this outing separately from an evening in town.

Two islands, distinct bookings
Cannes tourism sources describe Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat as separate destinations. A ticket simply saying “Lérins” is insufficient: identify its island, departure harbour and stops. Do not assume that an outward ticket allows unrestricted transfers between islands.
Our suggested plan: one island without rushing
Allow a day for your chosen island: crossing, walk, break and return with time to spare before the last service. Prepare a mainland alternative if boats are unavailable on your date. A cancelled excursion should leave you with both another activity and a way back.
Walking and extra costs
Bring water, suitable shoes and sun protection. The municipality asks visitors to take their rubbish back to the mainland. Add boat tickets, any admission, meals and hotel-to-harbour transport; a show or restaurant booking is a separate purchase with its own conditions.
Practical reference
Compare stages before booking
Suggested routes are editorial proposals. Confirm opening times, prices and accessibility for your date with the venues cited.
| Stage | Useful check | Record |
|---|---|---|
| Boat | Which island appears on the ticket? | Landing point |
| Return | Which last service is confirmed? | Time and buffer |
| Meals | What needs packing or booking? | Water and separate budget |
Prepare costs and admission conditions
Fund the trip independently of any potential winnings. Tourism access to a site does not establish admission to its gaming rooms.
