Cash out: early settlement and its limits
Cash out offers to settle some or all of a bet before its final outcome. Compare the amount with your stake and check the service’s availability and acceptance conditions.

Separate three amounts
The stake is money committed. The possible final payout depends on accepted odds and settlement rules. Cash out is a separate early-settlement offer. For a €10 stake, a confirmed full cash out of €8 means a net result of −€2, although €8 returns to the account.
A €12 offer would mean €2 profit in that example, assuming no additional fees. It is not €12 profit. A partial cash-out amount cannot establish the final result while some of the bet remains open.
Compare only with explicit assumptions
Fictional example: a bet can still return €30 gross or zero. If its current success probability were known to be 40%, expected gross return would be 0.4 × 30 = €12. A €10 settlement would be below that assumed mean. However, 40% is a stipulated probability, not something proved by the screen.
Cash out may reduce uncertainty on one ticket without making subsequent betting profitable. Live odds, a score or intuition do not automatically provide the real probability required by this calculation.
Read availability and confirmation rules
The Gambling Commission notes that live-market cash-out offers can be volatile. Read the particular service’s rules on eligible markets, suspension, changes, acceptance and partial or full settlement. A button being available earlier does not establish future acceptance.
Do not treat a pending request as confirmed money. Check transaction history, the amount actually credited and the remaining status of the bet before reviewing your account balance.
Document a dispute without betting again
Record the ticket identifier, time and time zone, displayed offer, confirmation and applicable terms. A dated screenshot helps explain a problem but does not replace the transaction log. Send a written complaint through the official support channel.
Watching a button or immediately placing another bet can extend a session. Set an end time that does not depend on the score. Use limits or a break if planned controls stop working.
