Read a licence register: distinguish brand, account and domain
A register connects an entity to activities and declarations. Compare identifiers, channel, status and dates; a regulator logo is not enough.

Start with a stable identifier
Record the legal name and account or licence number from the official source. A trading brand can differ from the licensed entity. Keep both names rather than merging them.
Read an activity, not a badge
The British register distinguishes Remote, Non-Remote and Ancillary Remote channels. A software activity alone does not authorise a consumer casino. Match the intended product to the relevant line.
Connect the domain to the right account
Copy the complete domain, including subdomains. Our British snapshot separates an account’s declared domains from its activities. Do not assume that every account activity is offered on every domain.
Keep a dated observation
Record the official URL, access date and activity status. Preserve contradictory labels and seek clarification through official channels. Absence from our snapshot does not prove absence from the current register.
Practical reference
Compare the decisive details
Educational example: check the parameters of your own situation.
| Item | Check | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Brand | Compare with the entity | Not a licence identifier |
| Account | Keep the number | May have multiple domains |
| Activity | Channel and status | Does not cover every product |
| Date | Source and access | Snapshot is not live data |
